Welcome!
Bloor West Village Baptist Church is a community of Christ followers in Toronto, Ontario. If you’ve never attended our Sunday morning services, we would love for you come in and meet us.
History of Bloor West Village Baptist Church
Bloor West Village Baptist Church began in 1928 when a group of about 80 left Runnymede Baptist to form Farmer Memorial Baptist Church. Initially, they worshipped in the Runnymede Bowling clubhouse. In 1931, property at the corner of south Kingsway and Larkin Ave was purchased and the first building (now the friendship room) was completed in 1933. The ‘new church’ was completed in 2 phases. The basement was dedicated in 1950. The completed church was opened in 1957.
Our name was changed in 2014 to Bloor West Village Baptist Church.
