The Pastor's Desk
To say that the last few years since the pandemic was tumultuous is an understatement for many and we are told more chaos is coming. But God promises to keep all those who will come into His secret place. Therefore, we welcome you here at Bloor West Baptist to worship the Lord with us. Here you will find a loving atmosphere grounded in the Spirit and in truth. No matter, what is going on in this world, God is still on the throne and wants you; whosoever will, to come to Him. I dare you to trust Him; believe me when I tell you, He is a deliverer. I am a living witness. So, come and join into the awesome work of the Lord as you find your place and calling for your life. "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple. For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord." Psalm 27:1,4-5, and 14 KJV

Scriptures Of The Week
By D. Baverstock
The Power of Prayer
"The power of prayer does not flow from us; it is not special words we say or the special way we say them or even how often we say them. The power of prayer is not based on a certain direction we face or a certain position of our bodies. The power of prayer does not come from the use of artifacts or icons or candles or beads. The power of prayer comes from the omnipotent One who hears our prayers and answers them. Prayer places us in contact with Almighty God, and we should expect almighty results, whether or not He chooses to grant our petitions or deny our requests. Whatever the answer to our prayers, the God to whom we pray is the source of the power of prayer, and He can and will answer us, according to His perfect will and timing." Got Questions "But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed." - James 1:6 KJV "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." - James 5:16 KJV "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:" - 1 John 5:14-15 KJV Let Us Pray Loving Heavenly Father, Jesus said "thy faith has made thee whole". We ask that we have such faith in the prayers that we pray to You. In this world of turmoil and temptation we become weak and many of us find that our faith is not what it should be. We find ourselves far from you. We ask that our faith be strengthen and that our prayers be sincere. In Jesus name we your children want to return Your love that Your have for us. Amen and Amen
