The Pastor's Desk
To say that the last few years since the pandemic was tumultuous is an understatement for many and we are told more chaos is coming. But God promises to keep all those who will come into His secret place. Therefore, we welcome you here at Bloor West Baptist to worship the Lord with us. Here you will find a loving atmosphere grounded in the Spirit and in truth. No matter, what is going on in this world, God is still on the throne and wants you; whosoever will, to come to Him. I dare you to trust Him; believe me when I tell you, He is a deliverer. I am a living witness. So, come and join into the awesome work of the Lord as you find your place and calling for your life. "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple. For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord." Psalm 27:1,4-5, and 14 KJV

Scriptures Of The Week
By D. Baverstock
Be Vigilant in The Faith
"And, If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?” - 1 Peter 4:18 NIV This verse highlights the challenges faced by believers in maintaining their faith and righteousness, emphasizing the seriousness of salvation. Bible Hub+2 "For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins." - 2 Peter 1:5-9 NIV It is important to always keep vigilant in the faith. It is so easy to slide back into old habits. Our relationship with our Heavenly father takes work like any profound relationship does. However, the relationship with our Creator surpasses all relationships. It is spiritual, and is far beyond anything earthly. This relationship extends into eternity. Let us Pray Loving Heavenly Father, the Creator of all things past, present and future. We pray that we have a firm and ever-increasing relationship with You. Please help us to recognize our sins and to repent and to live a life according to Your word. Please forgive us for backsliding and following earthly pleasures that only end in emptiness. Our life is full when we truly follow You. In Jesus most holy name we Pray Amen and Amen
